August 23 Primary Election Initial Mailing

 

Indian River County, FL – The initial mailing for domestic vote-by-mail ballots for the August 23 Primary Election was delivered to the post office on July 14. The Supervisor of Elections initial mailing includes 41,819 ballots sent to voters with a request on file. 687 ballots were sent last week to military and overseas voters.

The deadline to request a ballot to be mailed for the General Election is 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13. Voters can request a mail ballot by visiting VoteIndianRiver.gov under the “I Want To…” tab or by calling our office at 772-226-4700.

In order for your mail ballot to be counted, the mail ballot must be placed in the return envelope provided and the voter must sign the certificate. The Elections Office must receive the ballot no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day.

Secure ballot intake stations (formerly known as drop boxes) are available at all early voting locations during voting hours.
