42,518 Ballots Mailed to Voters for November 3 General Election
Indian River County, FL – The Supervisor of Elections began mailing domestic ballots today for the November 3, 2020 General Election. The initial mailing includes 42,518 ballots sent to voters with a request on file. Last week, 675 UOCAVA ballots were sent to military and overseas voters.
Additional mail ballot requests will be fulfilled as received. The deadline to request a ballot to be mailed for the General Election is 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24. To request or track your mail ballot, visit VoteIndianRiver.com or call 772.226.4700.
Mail ballots are non-forwardable and are sent to the voter’s current mailing address on file unless otherwise specified. The United States Postal Service is encouraging voters to promptly mail their voted ballots back to the Elections Office. Mail ballots must be received by the Supervisor of Elections office no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day to be counted. Voted mail ballots must be placed in the official return envelope provided, and the voter must sign the certificate on the backside of the envelope in order for the ballot to be counted.
Voters may drop off their voted ballot at any early voting location during early voting hours or deliver to the Supervisor of Elections office and place in the 24/7 ballot drop box.
