Secure Mail Ballot Drop Boxes Available at All Three Early Voting Locations

Indian River County, FL – Indian River County Supervisor of Elections Office is making voting by mail more convenient by offering secure vote-by-mail drop boxes at all three of the early voting sites during voting hours. Beginning on Saturday, March 7, 2020, the first day of early voting for the Presidential Preference Primary Election, voters are welcome to deposit their voted mail ballots into a secure drop box.

The secure drop boxes will be provided at Sebastian City Hall Council Chambers, Indian River County Main Library, and the Supervisor of Elections Office from March 7-14, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Drop boxes are located inside the polling room and are monitored by a poll worker at all times. Mail ballots from each of the drop boxes are returned to the Elections Office daily, at the conclusion of voting.

A permanent drop box is also available outside of the Elections Office 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Voters may track the status of their mail ballot by visiting VoteIndianRiver.com and selecting the “Track My Mail Ballot” tab. For further information on mail ballot drop boxes or to request a ballot by mail, please visit the Election Office website, or call the Elections Office at (772) 226-3440, or email [email protected]. Requests for ballots to be mailed must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2020. Only registered Democrats and Republicans are eligible to vote in the Presidential Preference Primary Election.
