Pre-Qualifying for Countywide and Special District Candidates

Indian River County, FL – The pre-qualifying period for candidates interested in holding countywide or a Special District office is May 31 through June 10. This two-week period prior to qualifying, allows candidates to review all required paperwork with election staff to ensure no required documents are missing or incomplete.

Candidates are encouraged to contact Candidate Coordinator, Anita Wheeler, at 772-226-4715 to schedule a date and time to review their pre-qualifying documents. All pre-qualifying documents will be clocked-in at the start of the official qualifying week at noon on June 13, 2022.

Candidates for the following offices qualify with the Indian River County Supervisor of Elections office: County Commission and School Board candidates, Mosquito Control District, Hospital District, and Soil and Water Conservation District.
